LG G-Slate Android Tablet Looks Set For A UK Release
LG’s Android 3.0 powered tablet, the LG G-Slate, is looking good for a UK release – although it’s likely that it won’t be the 4G version that we see.
Speaking to Pocket-Lint, LG’s James Choi pretty much confirmed that the 4G LTE-enabled device would be heading to UK shores, “That information isn’t available yet. The first announcement was for the Americas. We are planning another announcement pretty soon”.
Whilst the UK can’t currently support 4G devices, LG are expected to launch different versions of the G-Slate for different regions.
Information regarding the LG G-Slate is hard to come by, with the device only briefly demonstrated at the recent CES 2011 event. It is believed that an official UK announcement will be made during the upcoming Mobile world Congress event, along with more news, information and hands-on reviews of the Android tablet device.

Here’s the first demo video of the G-Slate. The G-Slate will be the first 4G tablet developed by LG and T-Mobile with Google to be powered by Android 3.0 (Honeycomb), the upcoming version of Google’s Android platform optimized for tablets.
