LG G-Slate Technical Specs Revealed

LG G-Slate SpecsThe LG G-slate was first unveiled back at CES in January, and since then has gained a close following by many Android fans looking to buy their first Android tablet device.

LG has partnered with 4G network T-Mobile to launch the device in the US, and today have officially revealed more details on the device.

LG G-Slate features:

  • 8.9-inch “3D-capable multi-touch display” — with the aid of 3D glasses
  • Android 3.0 Honeycomb
  • Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor
  • Rear-facing stereoscopic video recorder, records at 1080p
  • 5MP camera with LED flash
  • 720p playback on the tablet, 1080p via HDMI output
  • 32GB of internal memory
  • Internal gyroscope, accelerometer
  • T-Mobile HSPA+ data, plus Wifi

T-Mobile G Slate

“The G-Slate represents the next chapter in T-Mobile’s rich history of Android innovation,” said Brad Duea, senior vice president, marketing, T-Mobile USA. “Tablets enable users to take with them the rich Web and entertainment experiences they have at home, and this will radically shift the way people interact with and consume content while mobile. The G-Slate delivers a powerful combination of premium mobile HD entertainment and T-Mobile’s lightning-fast 4G mobile broadband network.”

The 4G G-Slate is rumoured to be set for a March 23rd release date in the US.

LG have previously mentioned that there will be different versions of the G-Slate made available to other regions where 4G connectivity isn’t yet available.

We expect to hear more information on the LG S-Slate launch and the UK release date from the Mobile world Congress event taking place this month.
