Broadband and mobile network Orange have today announced the launch of a new Wi-Fi dongle that will allow customers to connect up to five devices at once to access their internet services.

The mobile operator (also known as Everything Everywhere since the merger with T-Mobile) is joining other providers such as Three and Vodafone in launching its own Wi-Fi based mobile broadband USB modem router (Novatel Wireless 3352).

Known simply as Orange Mobile W-Fi, the device makes it possible for Wi-Fi enabled devices, such as laptops, smartphones and tablet PC’s, to access the internet simultaneously through one mobile broadband connection.

Orange has also refreshed a number of their existing broadband deals and packages, and are now offering existing Pay Monthly, Pay As You Go and ISP Home Broadband customers a £5 discount on all new Mobile Broadband price plans.

Simeon Bird, director of propositions at Orange, said: “At Orange, we’re always looking at ways to meet the ever-changing demands of our new and existing customers.

“We believe our new mobile broadband and sim-only offerings do just that by enabling customers to stay connected – whether by calls and text – or by surfing the internet, email or through social networking sites.”

Orange’s Mobile Wi-Fi service is available on all Orange mobile broadband plans, and will cost from £49 depending on which package you choose.
