O2 Announce Samsung Galaxy Tab Available From November 1st

Samsung Galaxy TabPopular mobile network O2 have today announced that they will be offering the Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet from November 1st, available “on all O2 Mobile Broadband Tariffs”.

Samsung’s highly anticipated tablet will be powered by the Android 2.2 (Froyo) build of Google’s popular mobile operating system and will include support for Adobe Flash content although Google have previously been quoted as saying version 2 of the OS is “not optimised for tablets”.

It is believed that version 3.0 of the Android OS has been developed with tablets in mind, and is expected to become available within the next few months.

  • 7″ TFT-LCD full touch screen
  • 1GHz processor
  • Over 70,000 apps on Android Market, 1000s of them are free
  • Entertainment on-the-go, including You Tube, BBC iPlayer and an e-book reader
  • Samsung Social Hub – IM, emails, SMS social networking, voice and video calls and swype

The 7″ Samsung tablet will also arrive bundled with a Facebook app and Outlook calendar, along with the ability for customers to connect to a wide range of WiFi hotspots BT Openzone and The Cloud as well as 3G connectivity.
