Free Wi-Fi Access All Week From Skype

Skype Free Wi-Fi Access
To celebrate the start of the first “Internet Week Europe” event, VoIP provider Skype are offering free public Wi-Fi access to individuals throughout the UK.
As you’d expect however, there is a catch. In order to gain access to the free Wi-Fi service you’ll need to have Skype Access, which is the internet add-on developed by the provider, and will also need to be within range of a Wi-Fi hotspot.
Skype’s free Wi-Fi access will be available to both Windows and Mac users.
Skype’s Access service is usually priced at 13p per minute when users pay via the Skype Credit payment option, but will be available free from today right through to November 12th.
The announcement was posted to the companies official website earlier today by Peter Parkes, Skype’s ‘blogger-in-chief’; “Skype Access will be free to use, so you can surf the web, send email and make free Skype-to-Skype voice and video calls at Skype Access-enabled Wi-Fi hotspots in cafes, hotels and airports across the UK.”
The idea behind Internet Week originated in New york two years ago, but since then has grown to become a worldwide event, with the very first Internet Week taking place across Europe this week.Events here in the UK to coincide with the celebrations include seminars hosted by the likes of Google, Yahoo and the BBC.
