T-Mobile UK have revealed a new mobile dongle device that has been designed to help mobile broadband customers get the best possible signal.

The new T-Mobile Wireless Pointer is essentially a mobile wi-fi modem, that gives customers the ability to create their own mobile broadband hotspot and connect to the internet from a wide range of wi-fi enabled devices including netbooks, smartphones, and tablet PC’s.

The Wireless Pointer also includes a mobile broadband signal indicator that shows customers the level of network coverage that they’re receiving, “allowing them to position the device in the place with the strongest T-Mobile signal, to make sure they get the best possible service”.

Nicola Shenton, head of handset and device marketing at T-Mobile UK, said: “The quality of mobile internet access is becoming more important to users and so the Wireless Pointer is perfect for those who want to make sure they have the best online experience for all their wi-fi gadgets, no matter where they are.

“With the signal indicator, users can be sure that they’ve got the best connection possible so they can get the most out of whatever devices they’re using.”

Th T-Mobile Wireless Pointer will be available free as part of a 24-month mobile broadband contract, with exact monthly pricing details to be released soon.

Pay As you Go (PAYG) mobile broadband customers will be able to buy the Wireless Pointer device for a one-off fee of £59.99 plus a top-up.
