Vodafone Announce Cheaper Mobile Broadband Roaming Charges In Europe

Vodafone Data Roaming ChargesVodafone have today unveiled a new pricing structure for customers who use their mobile broadband service while travelling in Europe.

Starting from December 1st, the new roaming charges will offer users 25MB of roaming data usage for £2 a day with travellers given the option of paying £10 a month. This works out at around 750MB of roaming data per month, which equates to a 5x increase over the previous 5MB per day limit.

Customers who are currently on Vodafone contracts costing £40 or more and with more than 900 minutes a month will be able to upgrade to 25MB for free, alongside Business Essentials customers with contracts more than £35.

From 1 December 2010, data roaming in Europe gets even easier with Vodafone Data Traveller. Opt in, and pay only £2 a day when you roam in Europe. Vodafone Data Traveller gives you 5MB in all European countries – boosted to 25MB in the countries you visit most often. And if you’re a frequent traveller, you can get Vodafone Data Traveller everyday for £10 a month.

In order to benefit from the increased data usage, customers will need to opt-in to Vodafone Data Traveller, although this is automatic for Vodafone PAYG customers.
