Vodafone Happy With Increased Q3 Performance
Vodafone’s chief executive Vittorio Callao has today expressed his satisfaction at the company’s sales for the third quarter of 2010.
With increases in both revenue and contract customers during Q3, the mobile operator has today revealed that revenue rose by 2.9% between July and September, with increases in the number of individuals signing up to monthly mobile contracts cited as the key reason for this result.
Vodafone have also revealed that the revenue generated from data usage – such as their 3G broadband services – remained strong during Q3, thanks in part to the “increasing penetration of smartphones and mobile internet bundles”.
Commenting on today’s announcement Vodafone’s group chief executive, Vittorio Callao, said: “I am pleased to report a further improvement in organic service revenue growth.”
